About Holdlens

Who we are, what we cover, and how we judge portfolio trackers.

Holdlens is an independent guide to crypto portfolio trackers — the apps and dashboards that pull your holdings from every wallet and exchange into one view. We exist to help you choose a tracker that fits how you hold crypto, and to use it safely, without ever being told what to buy.

What we cover, and what we don't

We cover portfolio tracking and monitoring: connecting exchanges and wallets, read-only API keys, DeFi and NFT coverage, privacy, and the differences between the tools. We do not cover — and will never publish — coin picks, price predictions, “best coins to buy”, trading signals or anything promising returns. Tax filing is a separate discipline; where a tracker also does tax, we discuss only its tracking side and point you to dedicated tax help for the rest.

How we judge trackers

We rank tools on connections, read-only support, DeFi and NFT coverage, privacy model and price, verified against each tool's own documentation and reviewed with a read-date on the page. We do not run every app through a lab-grade test, so we never claim results we did not see; where something cannot be confirmed, we say so. Facts about programmes, prices and features change quickly in crypto, so we date them and re-check the money page regularly.

Our safety stance

Two rules run through everything here. First: connect read-only. A portfolio tracker should only ever watch your holdings, never move them, so we tell you to use view-only API keys and watch-only addresses and never to enter a seed phrase. Second: a tracker is not advice. The numbers reflect what you already own; they are not a signal to buy or sell. Crypto is volatile and you can lose money — nothing on this site is financial, tax or legal advice.
